Iran’s presence in Iraq devastating: Saudi Foreign Minister

Adel Al-Jubeir, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, yesterday termed the Iranian presence in Iraq as devastating.

In an interview with sky news al-Jubeir said:
“A supporter has been defeated in Iraq and will be defeated in Syria, but we are afraid of his move to Libya and the Sahel,”
He continued, “But Iranian restraint in Iraq represents a threat to Iraq’s stability and security. The Iranian presence in Iraq is devastating.”
He also pointed out that Arab nations are keen to contribute to restoration in Iraq.
“Upon the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman we announce the allocation of one billion dollars for the reconstruction of Iraq and 500 million to support the Saudi exports to Iraq,”
-Al-Jubeir said during the Iraq Reconstruction Conference in Kuwait.
In addition, Kuwait announced during the conference about the granting of one billion dollars as a loan for the reconstruction of Iraq and another billion for investment projects in Iraq.
The Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq, which began on Monday, ended with the participation of a number of major donor countries and a number of international and regional organisations in order to collect the necessary contributions and assistance for the reconstruction of Iraq following the wars and conflicts affected by many provinces and regions.
